Recently, I've been reading a lot about how to be creative (right, like you need books to learn this, ha?) and how to stop being overly critical about my own work. Only because a few months ago, I got to the point where I hated my photography so much I just could not press the 'send' button on gallery invites. I was waiting and waiting, sometimes for weeks before I delivered my work.
Then, I started making notes. Notes about my feelings when I prepare myself for a shoot when I get to photograph people when I first have a look at my images, when I start editing, etc... I quickly found out that I actually LOVE what I do on the day of the shoot! I always feel ecstatic, and in love with the result. It's the following week what changes everything. So, I've decided to try and shoot, cull, edit and deliver ON THE VERY SAME DAY. And tadaaam! I'm feeling super happy about this set!
These guys were awesome anyway! Natural models, with a cool home to shoot in and very strong cohesion between them. Honestly, couldn't ask for a better day! In and out, filled with love and laughter.
Now, it's wine time for me, I'll leave these with you, and this time, please, please, please leave a comment, I would genuinely love to know what you think about these.
